My Story

CiCi’s Knots is a PNW based, woman-owned, macramé business specializing in one-of-a-kind macramé wall hangings, plant hangers, and accessories.

Hello, I’m Ciarra Flint, and I have been creating handmade macramé art since 2019. I was born and raised in the beautiful PNW in Washington State. My love for macramé bloomed from a passion for the outdoors, upcycling, design and all things “boho”. When I began creating macramé art, I really hadn’t envisioned a business; but I am so happy to have found something that I truly love and am able to share with YOU.

It all started once I moved home home from college and realized I didn’t have enough room for ALL my plants on the shelves I had available! Since I didn’t have the surface space needed, the only solution was to hang them. From there, I collected the random gardening cord I had and whipped up my very first macramé plant hanger. It wasn’t pretty, but it did the job and planted the seed that has grown into what Cici’s Knots is today. Next, I bought my first spool of real macramé cord, and started designing pieces for friends and family. In the early stages of business I made many plant hangers, keychains and coasters. As my skills, confidence, and custom requests grew, I began developing earrings, one-of-a-kind wall hangs, as well as large-scale wedding backdrops.

I absolutely love what I do and I am so joyful to share it with you! In my pieces you’ll often see materials either gathered in nature or up-cycled from the local community to compliment my designs.
